President John Dramani Mahama has held a high-level bilateral meeting with the President of Burundi and African Union Chairperson, Évariste Ndayishimiye, on the sidelines of the African Union Extraordinary Summit in Accra.

During the talks, both leaders engaged in constructive discussions aimed at deepening bilateral ties between Ghana and Burundi, while exploring enhanced cooperation across trade, health security, and diplomacy. They underscored the importance of continental solidarity, aligning their strategies to advance shared priorities under Agenda 2063, including local pharmaceutical manufacturing and strengthening primary healthcare delivery across AU member states.
