Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament’s Finance Committee and Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has acknowledged the stability of the economy while emphasizing that current gains build upon foundations established prior to the change of government.
Speaking on TV3's Agenda program following the presentation of the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review, Dr. Amoah stated that while no one can deny the current economic stabilization, the positive trajectory began under the previous administration before the National Democratic Congress (NDC) took office. He noted that the NDC government inherited an economy that had already begun recovering and credited them for maintaining fiscal discipline and sustaining those gains.
Sustaining macroeconomic stability and building bipartisan consensus remain vital for securing long-term growth and investor confidence in Ghana.
