Hopeson Adorye, the Director of Field Operations for the Movement for Change, has sharply criticized Dennis "Miracles" Aboagye following his high-profile arrest by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). Adorye claims that a recent campaign video released by Aboagye was intentionally calculated to manipulate public perception and dodge state accountability.

Aboagye, a senior NPP communicator, was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport in connection with a major investigation into an alleged GH₵55 million financial and procurement scandal tied to his former role at the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD). Just a day prior to his arrest, Aboagye had publicly released a video declaring his candidacy for the NPP's National Communications Director position.

Reacting to the fast-moving political drama, Adorye alleged that Aboagye filmed and released the video on Sunday morning at the airport because he had been tipped off and knew he was about to be detained. According to Adorye, the executive bid was a strategic move designed to create a false narrative of "political persecution." Delivering a stern reminder about the power of independent investigative bodies, Adorye concluded, "You cannot beat the state."
