Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has assured stakeholders that the government's flagship 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+) is progressing steadily, backed by mobilised capital and structured private-sector incentives.
Delivering an update on the administration's flagship economic transformation agenda, Dr. Forson stated that comprehensive details—including funding allocations, targeted tax rebates, and off-peak utility tariff structures—have been finalized and captured within the main policy framework document. He emphasized that the policy aims to re-engineer domestic production across agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing by enabling round-the-clock operations and creating sustainable jobs. Reaffirming the administration's fiscal plan, the Finance Minister highlighted that the government remains focused on executing the 24H+ initiative to drive import substitution and long-term economic self-reliance.
Securing continuous financing and private-sector enrollment remains crucial as the government implements structural economic reforms under the 24-Hour Economy framework.
