Joyce Mogtari Leads ROSA Foundation’s Outreach and Donation to Akropong School for the Blind | Discuss Ghana

The ROSA Foundation-Africa, led by its promoter and Special Aide to President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Esq., has undertaken its annual charitable outreach at the Akropong School for the Blind. The philanthropic mission was carried out on behalf of Mogtari's 87-year-old mother, Mrs. Roseline Shiata Bawah.

To support the welfare and educational environment of the visually impaired learners, the foundation presented a substantial donation of food items and other essential daily supplies. Mogtari highlighted that the gesture aligns with the ROSA Foundation's core mandate of driving social inclusion, providing relief to vulnerable communities, and ensuring equal opportunities for every child. She used the platform to appeal to corporate entities and philanthropists to increase funding and aid to special education schools nationwide.

Reflecting on broader political commitments to the institution, Mogtari explicitly thanked President John Dramani Mahama for his long-standing support of the school, pointing out that his first administration constructed the school's Assembly Hall and Auditorium. She further lauded Mahama's policy making tertiary education free for all disabled students in Ghana, while emphasizing that the immediate next step must focus on increasing the local availability and affordability of specialized educational materials.
