Media personality and political figure, Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng, widely known as A Plus, has announced that the construction firm currently handling the major Kasoa–Winneba Road dualization project has been officially tasked to execute the Agona Swedru–Winneba Road project as well.
The Agona Swedru–Winneba road stretch, a vital economic artery connecting major commercial hubs in the Central Region, has faced infrastructural challenges, leading to recurrent traffic bottlenecks and commuter complaints. By assigning the project to Nag Fairmount Construction Limited—the firm earning high praise under the government's "Big Push" infrastructure initiative—the administration aims to bring international-standard asphaltic overlays, drainage systems, and structural enhancements to the route.
Addressing the community and local stakeholders regarding the development, Hon. A Plus emphasized that the contractor's proven track record on the Kasoa-Winneba stretch guarantees that the work will be executed efficiently. He passionately appealed to the chiefs, drivers, youth, and traders of Agona Swedru to offer their maximum cooperation to both the construction workers and state authorities. A Plus noted that while heavy machinery and active construction zones may cause temporary vehicular diversions and minor disruptions, collective patience is essential to ensure the seamless, timely, and successful completion of the transformative highway project.
