Hearts of Oak Close to Appointing Legendary Goalkeeper Richard Kingson as New Goalkeepers Coach | Discuss Ghana

Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak are in advanced talks to appoint former Black Stars goalkeeper and technical trainer Richard "Olele" Kingson as the club's new goalkeepers coach.

Negotiations between the Phobians' management and the 48-year-old former national team legend have progressed rapidly, with an official agreement expected to be finalized and announced in the coming days. Kingson, who amassed over 90 caps for the Black Stars and featured prominently at the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups, previously served as the goalkeepers trainer for the senior national team. His pending addition to the Phobian technical crew is aimed at bringing veteran expertise, elite positional training, and stability to the club's goalkeeping department ahead of the new season.

Strengthening technical staff with proven national team figures remains a strategic focus for domestic clubs seeking sustained competitive success in the Ghana Premier League.
