Akofena Kwadwo Safo, son of the late Kristo Asafo Mission founder Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, has dismissed reports circulating on social media regarding the burial and funeral arrangements for the iconic innovator and religious leader.
Addressing congregants and the general public in a official statement, Akofena urged members of the Kristo Asafo Church and well-wishers to disregard claims suggesting that his father’s final funeral rites would take place on July 30. He clarified that church leadership, executive council members, and elders of the Safo family are still in consultations and have yet to fix or announce an official date for the funeral. Emphasizing that any calendar date currently being shared across public platforms is speculative and unauthorized, he assured the public that authentic details regarding the final rites and memorial service will be communicated through official family and church channels in due course.
Managing public expectations and maintaining official communication channels remain critical as family and church leaders prepare to honor the legacy of the prominent Ghanaian religious icon and industrial pioneer.
