The Black Stars of Ghana have officially arrived at their North American home base, touching down at T.F. Green International Airport before traveling to the host city of Providence, Rhode Island, ahead of their campaign opener.
The West African giants were met with a vibrant and enthusiastic reception by local dignitaries and members of the large Ghanaian diaspora community. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) selected the Ocean State as their official Team Base Camp for the tournament, strategically positioning Carlos Queiroz's squad in a quiet environment that offers elite-tier, professional athletic amenities just a short distance from major East Coast tournament hubs.
Setting Up Camp at Bryant University
With the tournament officially underway, the technical team is wasting no time converting their temporary base into a high-performance training ground:
The Facilities: The Black Stars will be housed at the fabled Biltmore Hotel in downtown Providence while executing all on-pitch tactical sessions at Bryant University in nearby Smithfield, utilizing the university's newly opened 43,000-square-foot indoor sports complex and top-tier medicine centers.
The Cultural Hub: The city of Providence has partnered with the local community to establish "Track 15" as the dedicated "Ghana Hub" for the duration of the tournament, featuring a massive flag-raising ceremony at Biltmore Park and a formal welcome from the city's mayor and state governor.
The Group L Journey: Led by stars Mohammed Kudus and Antoine Semenyo, the squad will finalize their tactical patterns in Rhode Island before traveling for their Group L matches—opening against Panama in Toronto on June 17, facing England in nearby Boston on June 23, and wrapping up against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
