Appiah Stadium Gifts GH¢10,000 to Super Kass | Discuss Ghana

In a gesture of appreciation for political artistry, popular NDC activist and Kumasi-based social commentator Frank Kwaku Appiah, better known as Appiah Stadium, has donated GH¢10,000 to The Angellican Senior High School Super Kass.

The donation was made on Monday, March 23, 2026, after Super Kass presented a stunning, large-scale portrait of President John Dramani Mahama.

A Token of "Mahama Loyalty"

Appiah Stadium, a staunch supporter of the President, described the donation as a way to encourage young talents who use their skills to project the image of the "National Reset":

Recognizing Talent: Appiah Stadium noted that the quality of the painting captured the "visionary essence" of the President and deserved to be rewarded.

Supporting the Youth: He urged other well-meaning Ghanaians to support the creative arts, especially as the government recently announced a GH¢40 million injection into the creative sector to help artists navigate the challenges of the AI era.

Personal Gratitude: Appiah Stadium often refers to President Mahama as his "God on earth" due to the personal support the President has given him over the years, including sponsoring his wife's medical treatment abroad.

Super Kass: The Artist Behind the Portrait

Super Kass gained popularity in the Ashanti Region for his "hyper-realistic" speed-painting style:

The Painting: The portrait features the President in a regal pose, symbolizing the stability.

Super Kass Reaction: Super Kass expressed profound gratitude for the gesture, stating that the GH¢10,000 would be used to purchase high-quality art supplies to continue their work in documenting Ghana's political history.

The Creative Arts Context (2026)

The donation comes at a time when the "National Reset" agenda is placing a heavy emphasis on human creativity:

Government Funding: In February 2026, President Mahama allocated GH¢20 million specifically for the film sector and another GH¢20 million for other creative sub-sectors like visual arts.

Presidential Ambassadorship: The President has pledged to be the "personal ambassador" for the creative industry to help Ghanaian talent reach global markets.

"John Mahama is the reason I am where I am today. If someone uses their talent to honor him, it is only right that I also honor that person." — Appiah Stadium, March 23, 2026.
